TAC/PAAHC Grants

Tourism Advisory Committee

& Prescott Area Arts & Humanities Grants

The Tourism Advisory Committee (TAC) and Prescott Area Arts and Humanities Council (PAAHC) grants are designed to assist non-profit organizations hosting events in Prescott.   The goal of the grant is to encourage event marketing outside of the Prescott area and to encourage overnight visitation. TAC and PAAHC Grants are funded by the City’s Transient Occupancy (Bed Tax). Events are eligible for up to $5,000, depending on their rating, and how many organizations successfully apply. The grant is available only to registered non-profit organizations.

The grant process begins and opens in the springtime and grant funds are provided for the coming City of Prescott coming year, which is July 1st to June 30th.

The Tourism Advisory Committee (TAC) recently developed a guidebook for special event organizers.  The purpose of this guidebook is to provide organizers with a structure to improve the overall management of their event, specifically focusing on marketing, crowd estimating, total attendance, and hotel, retail, and restaurant usage. Organizations receiving TAC/PAAHC grants are required to provide their best efforts to comply with grant requirements that result in a positive economic impact on the City of Prescott.
